Lee Miller at the V&A

(self-portrait by Lee Miller in Hitler’s bathtub)
I always love learning about great photographers I have either never heard of or know little about, so it was with great pleasure that I read about Lee Miller in last week’s issue of the Guardian. A model, a muse to Man Ray, photographer for Vogue, friends to Picasso…a full socialite of her day. She documented World War 2 with her photography until the war took its toll on her. I wish I was there to see the show.

Amazing picture. Amazing woman. I believe this shows the photographer bathing in Adolf’s tub to wash off the dust and dirt after returning from a trip to a concentration camp.
