There is a great piece in the Guardian about Elinor Carucci, and how she breaches her private, family life to further explore and test the limits of where her art can go.
This brings to mind a few others, such as Avedon’s portraits of his father over time as his health worsened, or Jill Greenberg’s portraits of crying children including her own, which caused a rather weird ruckus.
