Henry Wolf Would Be Proud.

Written on June 12, 2007

I came up with a slightly better name for the posts each week that will be focused on an ad that I think is noteworthy.

Henry Wolf was a legendary art director that traversed the lines between fashion and commercial, editorial and advertising, and looked damn good doing it all. He succeeded Alexey Brodovitch (perhaps the original art director) at Harper’s Bazaar, before embarking upon a career in advertising, then opening his own studio that focused on the intersection of photography, design and film.
Please note that my selection of ads may not be entirely current week to week. I don’t have that much time on my hands.

So this week, via Adverbox, I found this PSA devoted to multiple sclerosis out of Australia, by an agency called Cummins & Partners (creative with a conscience.) Photography by Derek Swalwell.

Just a very powerful, stark image.
