Watch out Posh Spice

March 18, 2008

I guess Jacko and I got sent the same email.  Not sure if we’re virally marketing someone else’s pet project for them, but it is well done.

Before & After

March 17, 2008

So, following up my post on APE’s “Pay To Play” post…here are two striking examples of fashion editorial work that has lead directly to advertising work.  (Never mind the caliber of the photographers for a moment…)

Inez & Vinoodh “Before & After” series for V Magazine.

Inez & Vinoodh, Lane Crawford SS/08 Campaign.

Inez & Vinoodh for W […]

Richard Renaldi for Microsoft

Richard Renaldi just completed a 5 months worth of travelling helming the new global Microsoft campaign…8×10 portraits from all over the world.

And we can be grateful he documented the entire journey on his blog.  Congratulations Richard!

Like Stephen Shore shooting Bottega […]

Fell a bit behind on this, so here are some of the latest ads and editorials that I am quite fond of.
First, from Mario Testino for the August issue of French Vogue…

(Snejana as Anna Wintour)
More scans here from Fashion Spot.
The new Diesel campaign from Marcel shot by Johan Renck with the tagline “Human After […]

Henry Wolf Would be Proud

June 27, 2007

From agency 72andSunny, from photographer Ryan McGinley.  Fresh off his recent exhibition featuring fans at Morrissey concerts, this ad makes sense.  It almost makes me want to consider buying a Zune.

Henry Wolf Would Be Proud.

June 12, 2007

I came up with a slightly better name for the posts each week that will be focused on an ad that I think is noteworthy.
Henry Wolf was a legendary art director that traversed the lines between fashion and commercial, editorial and advertising, and looked damn good doing it all. He succeeded Alexey Brodovitch (perhaps the […]
